Ballari, Sept. 8 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Tuesday accused the Congress government of exerting pressure on Ballari district authorities to deny permission for the concluding programme of the party's padayatra in Ballari.
Speaking to reporters at Hale Daroji in Sandur, Vijayendra said the district administration appeared to be "under pressure" from the State government and was deliberately delaying permission for the event.
"I have received information that the authorities are hesitating to grant permission for the concluding programme. I will speak to the concerned officials," he said.
