Chandigarh, Sept. 16 -- Congress national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Haryana government, alleging that private hospitals are being given land at concessional rates, but no effective mechanism has been put in place to ensure that poor and economically weaker patients received free or subsidised treatment as mandated.
Calling it not merely an administrative failure but a "betrayal of the poor," Surjewala claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has failed to enforce its own conditions despite complaints being raised for years.
