New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- The Lok Sabha was on Thursday adjourned sine die, bringing the Monsoon Session proceedings in the House to an end following continuous disruptions and deadlock between the government and opposition benches.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah were present in the House when Speaker Om Birla made the announcement after the national song Vande Mataram was played at the start of the final day of Parliament's Monsoon Session.
The Monsoon Session, which began on July 20, has been marked by repeated disruptions in the House.
