Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 2 -- Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan on Wednesday announced the establishment of a Coconut Park in the State with the support of the Coconut Development Board (CDB), aimed at promoting modern processing, value addition and production of quality coconut products for the export market.

The announcement was made while inaugurating the national-level celebrations of World Coconut Day 2026 in Thiruvananthapuram. The proposed Coconut Park is envisaged as a major platform for modern processing and value addition and is expected to create greater opportunities for entrepreneurship, investment and market development in Kerala's coconut sector.
