Imphal, April 19 -- The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), a conglomeration of civil societies in Manipur, on Sunday announced a boycott of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party over what it termed was failure of the government to stop militant attacks on civilians.
It also urged the people of Manipur to refrain from participating in any activities associated with the party or its leaders.
Leaders of the COCOMI at a press conference, criticised the initiatives of the government alleging that it has allowed armed militants to operate with impunity and contributed to escalating violence in the state.
