Kolkata / Ranchi, April 15 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint against five accused in a case related to illegal coal mining, theft and transportation, officials said.
The complaint was filed before a special PMLA court against Anup Majhi, Niranjan Mandal, Kiran Khan and others in connection with alleged illegal coal trade and money laundering.
The ED initiated the investigation based on multiple FIRs registered in police stations in West Bengal's Durgapur-Asansol region, officials said.
According to the agency, the accused were allegedly involved in large-scale illegal mining and sale of coal, and operated a syndicate to facilitate extraction and transportation.
