Lucknow, July 3 -- In a major step towards strengthening energy security and accelerating Uttar Pradesh's clean energy transition, Coal India Limited (CIL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) have signed a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) to develop renewable energy projects across the state.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Mayur Maheshwari, Managing Director, UPRVUNL and Asheesh Kumar, Director (Business Development), CIL, along with senior officials from both organisations and Invest UP on Friday.
The strategic partnership marks an important milestone in strengthening Uttar Pradesh's renewable energy ecosystem while contributing to India's long-term energy security goals.
