Kochi, July 27 -- The ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CMFRI) has developed a mobile application and an interactive e-learning module to enhance awareness about protected and endangered sharks and rays and promote their conservation.
State Minister for Fisheries V E Abdul Gafoor released the digital tools at a function held at CMFRI here on Monday.
The 'Shark Aware' mobile application and the interactive e-learning module were developed by a scientific team led by Dr Livi Wilson, Senior Scientist, Finfish Fisheries Division, CMFRI, with financial support from the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB).
