Kolkata, July 12 -- BJP MLA from Bhatar in Purba Bardhaman, Soumen Karfa, and his family have named their newborn daughter Subhadra after Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari suggested the name at the family's request.
Karfa and his wife were blessed with a baby girl on Sunday.
The family had requested the chief minister to name the child, and Adhikari chose "Subhadra," the sister of Lord Jagannath.
The family subsequently decided to name the newborn Subhadra Karfa.
