Dharamshala, July 23 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday assured all possible assistance to families affected by the recent cloudburst in Boh Valley of Kangra district.
Speaking over the telephone from Shimla, the Chief Minister reviewed the damage caused by the disaster with Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, who was visiting the affected areas. Sukhu also spoke directly to several affected families and assured them of the state government's full support.
Pathania informed the Chief Minister that, following his directions, the district administration had provided immediate relief of Rs 25,000 each and essential household kits to 19 families whose houses were completely destroyed. In addition,...
