Panchkula, July 11 -- Declaring that the fight against drugs is a battle to safeguard the future of Haryana's youth, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday announced the formation of a dedicated Task Force to intensify the state's crackdown on narcotics while calling for a statewide people's movement against drug abuse.

Addressing a dialogue programme with NGOs and representatives of Chemists' Associations under the 'Nasha Mukt Haryana' campaign in Panchkula, Saini said the government was committed to attacking both the supply and demand sides of the drug menace through stringent enforcement, community policing and public participation.
