Hyderabad, April 30 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to adopt a centralised procurement system to curb irregularities in the supply of goods to welfare hostels and schools.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the Chief Minister emphasised that welfare schemes are meant for beneficiaries and not suppliers. The Chief Minister instructed that items such as uniforms, textbooks, notebooks and other essentials must be procured centrally and delivered efficiently to students.
