Hyderabad, April 5 -- On the occasion of the 119th birth anniversary of freedom fighter and former Deputy Prime Minister Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid floral tributes to the leader's portrait at his residence in Jubilee Hills, here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded the immense contributions of Babu Jagjivan Ram towards the welfare of the downtrodden and the working class.
He recalled that the veteran leader fought relentlessly against caste discrimination and untouchability, dedicating his entire life to safeguarding the rights of Dalits.
