Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 -- Early trends from the counting of votes in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026 have indicated a setback for the ruling CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan trailing after five rounds of counting in Dharmadam constituency.
Several key cabinet ministers are also reported to be trailing in the initial rounds. These include Finance Minister K N Balagopal, Industries Minister P Rajeeve, Cooperation Minister V N Vasavan, Water Resources Minister Roshy Augustine, Electricity Minister K Krishnankutty, Ports Minister Ahammad Devarkovil, and Transport Minister Antony Raju. Their respective leads are fluctuating as counting progresses across rounds.
