Chandigarh, July 10 -- Promising visible improvements in civic services ahead of the monsoon, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday directed officials to install recharge wells in every park to eliminate waterlogging, expedite desilting of drains and sewers, strengthen drinking water supply, and prepare a roadmap to transform Panchkula into the state's "number one city."Chairing a three-hour meeting of the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PMDA), the Chief Minister announced a series of citizen-focused measures aimed at improving everyday urban life, including cleaner neighbourhoods, better roads, safer public spaces, enhanced drainage infrastructure and new housing for slum dwellers.
