Imphal, Oct. 21 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh was conferred the prestigious Grand Master 9th Dan by the Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation (GTTF) today during the inaugural ceremony of the 1st Manipur State Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2026 at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Imphal.
GTTF President Grand Master Jun Lee of the Republic of Korea presented the title to the Chief Minister, recognising his longstanding association with and contribution to the martial art.
The ceremony also witnessed Singh demonstrating his martial arts skills and reflexes, reflecting his years of dedication and experience in Taekwondo.
