Kannur, Feb. 26 -- The Muzhappilangad-Dharmadam Comprehensive Beach Development Project, being implemented by the Kerala government, will accelerate the growth of tourism across the state, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating Kerala Tourism Development Corporation's (KTDC) premium property Malabar Courtyard at Muzhappilangad, built at a cost of Rs 51.86 crore as part of the beach development project.

"Being the largest drive-in beach in Asia, Muzhappilangad Beach has a special place on the world tourism map. The 4-km drive-in beach is attracting not only domestic tourists but also international travellers," Vijayan said.
