Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- Climate change, rapid urbanisation and changing disease patterns are significantly fuelling the spread of dengue across India and other parts of the world, experts warned at a national-level CME organised by All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar on the occasion of National Dengue Day 2026.

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme, titled "Dengue update 2026: Clinical Insight & Public Health Perspectives," was organised by the Department of General Medicine and brought together leading clinicians, epidemiologists, researchers and public health experts to deliberate on dengue prevention, diagnosis, treatment and outbreak preparedness.
