Hubballi, July 6 -- Stepping up the attack on the Karnataka government, BJP MLA Mahesh Tenginakai on Monday demanded the immediate release of pending Gruhalakshmi scheme payments, alleging that the state was attempting to divert public attention from unpaid dues by launching a beneficiary revision exercise.
"Claiming that nearly Rs 5,000 crore in pending Gruhalakshmi payments, including the February and March 2025 instalments, remained unpaid, Tenginakai said lakhs of women beneficiaries were still awaiting financial assistance.""First clear the pending Gruhalakshmi dues, then talk about beneficiary revisions," he said, accusing the government of staging a "beneficiary revision drama" instead of addressing the hardship faced by poor women....
