Thiruvananthapuram, July 22 -- Tension prevailed in the Kerala capital on Wednesday as clashes erupted during a BJP march to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) headquarters, with police using water cannons to disperse the protesters.
The march, organised by the BJP, was held in protest against the Congress demonstration near Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in New Delhi. BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar inaugurated the march.
The situation turned tense when BJP workers allegedly attempted to breach the police barricades put up near the KPCC headquarters. Police intervened to prevent the protesters from moving forward, leading to clashes between the police and BJP workers.
