Hyderabad, Oct. 5 -- Singareni management today clarified that reports suggesting the Ramappa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, could be threatened by the proposed mining project are baseless.
In a statement, the management said the proposed Venkatapur Open Cast Project in Mulugu district would proceed only after a comprehensive scientific study. It said further decisions would be based on reports from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and other reputed institutions.
