New Delhi, July 21 -- The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Tuesday steered its agitation back to Jantar Mantar after a day of clashes with police during its 'Chalo Sansad' march, with party leaders announcing that no fresh attempt would be made to march towards Parliament to avoid further injuries to protesters.
As demonstrators began returning to the protest venue, Delhi Police said prohibitory orders under Section 163 continue to remain in force and urged people not to gather in large numbers around Jantar Mantar. Security remained on high alert across central Delhi, with barricades and paramilitary personnel deployed at key locations following Monday's violence.
