Hyderabad, July 17 -- A group of public policy experts, agricultural specialists and civil society members has urged Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to immediately announce a comprehensive Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for crop diversification ahead of the ongoing Kharif season.
In a representation to the Chief Minister, the signatories expressed concern over the government's decision to offer a Rs 500 per quintal bonus only for seven fine varieties of paddy, stating that the move may not address the challenges posed by water scarcity and climate change.
