Pune, March 27 -- The Citizens Social Foundation on Friday called for key amendments to the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009 to make the education system more inclusive, equitable, and effective.
"Under Article 21A of the Indian Constitution, it is the responsibility of the state to provide free and compulsory education to children aged 6 to 14 years," Spokesperson CA Sarvesh Mehendale said during a press conference. He reiterated that education is a fundamental right and must be accessible to all without discrimination.
