New Delhi, June 18 -- : The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) welcomed the announcement of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which will come into effect from July 15, as a potential to reshape India's textile and apparel industry.

The textile industry body believes that this pact will open new opportunities for growth, competitiveness and market access for India's textile and apparel industry.

CITI noted that the United Kingdom (UK) is one of the largest markets for Indian textile and apparel products. Under the India-UK CETA, Indian textile and apparel products will enjoy zero-duty access to the UK.
