Ballari, May 1 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has issued notices to the accused in connection with the Ballari banner clash and firing case, intensifying its probe into the violent incident that left one person dead and several others injured during a politically sensitive confrontation earlier this year.
The incident took place during a community-related programme in Ballari district when a dispute erupted over the installation and removal of political banners. The confrontation escalated into stone pelting and alleged firing between two groups, leading to panic in the area.
