Beijing, Oct. 7 -- China said on Wednesday that its trade ties with the European union were "highly integrated and mutually dependent", urging the bloc to resolve trade concerns through dialogue as France and Germany called for stronger EU trade instruments.

"Between China and the EU, the industrial and supply chains are highly integrated and mutually dependent, and our economic and trade relations are mutually beneficial in nature," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said in a written statement.
