Beijing, March 7 -- China on Friday rejected accusations from Australia regarding an aircraft encounter over the Yellow Sea, expressing strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to what it described as Australia's distortion of facts.
A spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China said an Australian frigate had repeatedly dispatched shipborne helicopters to conduct close-range reconnaissance against China in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea under the pretext of enforcing United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The spokesperson described the actions as "continuous provocations" that endangered China's national security.
