Raipur, July 30 -- The Chhattisgarh government has approved the development of four new manufacturing clusters, including in Bastar, to promote industrial growth and generate employment in the state.
The proposals were cleared at a meeting of the State Level Committee on the Industrial Development Scheme under the Commerce and Industry Department, chaired by Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel.
The committee approved a Special Manufacturing Cluster in Rajnandgaon district and Multi Sector Manufacturing Clusters at Patewa in Dhamtari district, Dhoomrapali in Janjgir-Champa district, Salkhan and Niyanar in Bastar district.
The proposals were discussed in detail during the committee's second meeting before receiving formal approval.
