Raipur, May 27 -- The Chhattisgarh administration and the State Waqf Board have issued detailed guidelines ahead of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid). The measures are aimed at maintaining law and order, public hygiene, and communal harmony during the festival.
Government officials on Wednesday said that strict action would be taken against violations, including animal sacrifice in open areas and the use of DJs or sound systems beyond permitted noise limits.
According to the guidelines, sacrifices will not be allowed in public places such as roads, grounds, and open spaces. The administration has clarified that sacrifices can only take place inside authorised slaughterhouses or within private premises.
