Raipur, July 22 -- Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai called for a coordinated effort to strengthen maternal and child health and eliminate malnutrition across the state.
He said that healthy mothers and healthy children form the strongest foundation of a developed Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister stressed that meaningful progress in these areas would be possible only if all concerned departments work together with a shared objective.
Sai made the remarks during a meeting with UNICEF India Representative Cynthia McCaffrey at Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhawan. The discussions centred on maternal and child health, nutrition and the overall development of children in the state.
