Raipur, May 12 -- The Chhattisgarh government has renamed key posts in the nursing cadre across state run health institutions. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal announced the decision on Tuesday during a programme held on the occasion of International Nurses Day.
Under the revised designation system, the Staff Nurse will now be known as Nursing Officer, while the post of Nursing Sister has been renamed Senior Nursing Officer.
Addressing the gathering, the Health Minister said nurses play a central role in the healthcare system and remain closely connected to patients during treatment and recovery. He said their work reflects service, compassion and dedication, often under demanding circumstances.
