Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 27 -- Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Friday alleged that the Kerala government had unlawfully collected and shared the personal data of over one crore citizens for electoral purposes, and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Talking to newspersons here, Chennithala claimed that after allegedly leaking the personal details of government employees and pensioners, the government had now accessed and shared the personal information of lakhs of women enrolled in the state's Women's Safety Scheme.

He alleged that the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) was directly involved in the process.
