Raipur, Sept. 16 -- Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed Lord Ganesha into his home on Monday, installing the idol at his official residence and performing the puja with his family as part of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Following traditional rituals, Sai offered prayers for the happiness, well-being and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh.
Extending Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to the people of the state, Sai said Lord Ganesha symbolises wisdom and sound judgement, and that it has long been a tradition to begin every auspicious undertaking by worshipping him. Ganeshotsav, he said, is not only a festival of faith but also an occasion that strengthens love, harmony and unity in society.
