Kakinada, May 25 -- The Red Convent Students Charitable Trust on Monday appreciated the services of traffic police personnel who continue to discharge duties under difficult conditions, braving the scorching summer heat.
Trust president Badam Balakrishna, along with other trust members, visited the Traffic-One Town Police Station and met Traffic Inspector N. Ramesh.
As a gesture of appreciation, the trust distributed steel water bottles worth Rs 45,000 and glucose packets to the police station staff.
Balakrishna said traffic police personnel were not only regulating traffic but also conducting awareness programmes on traffic rules and the importance of wearing helmets to reduce fatalities in road accidents.
