Unnao, Sept. 7 -- Badarka, the ancestral village of freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad's family in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, is set to gain greater prominence on the state's cultural and tourism map, with a nearly Rs 5-crore multipurpose complex now more than 75 pc complete and targeted for completion by November.

The project, being developed by the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department, is expected to support Badarka's inclusion in the state's Swatantrata Sangram Tourism Circuit, which seeks to connect places associated with India's freedom movement through a broader journey of history, remembrance and cultural learning.
