Ayodhya, July 6 -- The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Monday accepted the resignation of Champat Rai as its general secretary and Anil Mishra as a trustee amid the donation theft controversy. The trust has assigned Krishna Mohan additional responsibilities as its interim general secretary.
The next meeting of the Trust will be held on July 22 for further discussion and decisions.
The emergency meeting of the Trust, called after the Ayodhya Ram Temple offering theft was unearthed, was held at the Ram Temple complex from 3 pm on Monday. The meeting went over 3 hours. After the meeting, Treasurer Govind Dev Giri stated that the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra have been accepted.
