Shillong, Aug. 11 -- A detailed review was undertaken of electors requiring further scrutiny during the 'notice and hearing' phase following the publication of Meghalaya's 2026 Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Draft Electoral Rolls.

The virtual meeting was conducted by State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari in coordination with the district election machinery and political parties to review the progress of the SIR following the publication of the Draft Electoral Rolls for all 60 assembly constituencies in the state on August 5, 2026.
