New Delhi, June 29 -- The Government will release the SUMAN Roadmap 2030 on Monday, outlining a strategy to reduce maternal and newborn deaths through targeted interventions in districts with the highest burden of mortality and by strengthening healthcare services across pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period.

Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is scheduled to release the roadmap during the 16th Conference of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the ministry, the roadmap is aimed at helping India achieve the Sustainable Development Goal of reducing the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) to below 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030, while also bringing down neonatal and infant mortality rates.
