Kolkata, June 6 -- The changing political equations in West Bengal appeared to usher in a new phase in Centre-State relations on Saturday as Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw held a high-level meeting at Nabanna and announced a series of major railway projects for the state, including a proposed bullet train corridor between Siliguri and Delhi.

Vaishnaw began his Kolkata visit with an inspection of Metro Railway projects before proceeding to Nabanna, where he held extensive discussions with the Chief Minister.

According to sources, the meeting focused on expediting several pending railway projects in the state and preparing a roadmap for future expansion.
