Kakinada, July 24 -- The Central Government has established 1,976 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Andhra Pradesh, including 74 in Kakinada district, Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish Babu said on Friday.
In a statement here, the MP said the information was provided by the union Ministry of Heavy Industries in response to a question raised by him during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament on the EV charging infrastructure developed in the state.
According to the Ministry, a total of 1,976 charging stations had been established across Andhra Pradesh by March 2026 to promote the adoption of electric vehicles.
