New Delhi, March 10 -- The Centre has sought Parliament's approval for additional expenditure of Rs 2,81,289.26 crore through the second batch of Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025-26, covering 61 grants across several ministries and departments to meet additional funding requirements during the current financial year.
Out of the total proposed expenditure, Rs 2,01,142.96 crore involves net cash outgo, while Rs 80,145.71 crore represents technical supplementary provisions, which will be adjusted through savings, recoveries or enhanced receipts within ministries and departments.
The demands also include a token provision of Rs 59 lakh, mainly to facilitate re-appropriation of funds in cases involving new services or new instruments ...
