Hyderabad, July 10 -- : A high-level team from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, led by Additional Secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav, on Friday reviewed the ongoing Andhra Pradesh Flue Cured Virginia (FCV) Tobacco Marketing Season 2025-26 and discussed measures to strengthen procurement, exports and growers' welfare.
The meeting, attended by tobacco growers, manufacturers, exporters, dealers, trade associations and officials of the Tobacco Board, reviewed the prevailing market situation and reiterated the Centre's commitment to protecting the interests of FCV tobacco farmers.
Discussions focused on expediting procurement, facilitating exports and strengthening the overall marketing ecosystem for FCV tobacco.
