Hyderabad, April 2 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday welcomed the release of Rs 619.85 crore by the Central Government to Gram Panchayats in Telangana, terming it a significant step towards strengthening rural development.

In a press statement, he said the funds-released as the first instalment for 2025-26 under the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission-reflect the Centre's commitment to grassroots governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
