Aizawl, June 1 -- With smart meter installation gathering pace and plans for major hydropower projects back on the table, the Centre on Saturday urged Mizoram to accelerate reforms in its power sector while strengthening urban sanitation and waste management systems.
The directives came during a state-level review meeting on Power and Housing & Urban Affairs chaired by union Minister Manohar Lal at the MINECO Conference Hall. The meeting was attended by Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Minister K. Sapdanga, Power & Electricity Minister F. Rodingliana and senior officials from the concerned departments.
