Bengaluru, July 3 -- The Centre has ordered a comprehensive probe into repeated operational failures in Bengaluru's Namma Metro, directing the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to investigate all major service disruptions over the past three years and carry out a system-wide audit of its operations and maintenance.
The directive from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) marks the strongest intervention yet into the metro's recurring technical breakdowns, which have repeatedly disrupted services and inconvenienced thousands of commuters.
