Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- The central government has announced that the Assistance to National Sports Federations (ANSF) Scheme will continue, with Rs7,386.74 crore allocated for 2026-27 to 2030-31. This includes Rs2,500 crore for hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports' Department of Sports issued the notification on August 24. The scheme will remain the primary means of supporting Indian athletes and teams in preparing, training, and competing internationally. It takes effect immediately.
