New Delhi, June 8 -- The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will launch a nationwide awareness and outreach campaign from Tuesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), a maternal healthcare initiative aimed at ensuring safe pregnancy and healthy motherhood.
The celebrations, themed "10 Years of PMSMA - A Decade of Care", will begin on June 9, marking a decade since the scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2016. Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
