New Delhi, June 30 -- The Centre on Tuesday extended by one month the deadline for filing appeals before the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), giving taxpayers additional time to submit pending cases as the newly operational appellate mechanism stabilises.According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the last date for filing appeals, which was scheduled to expire on June 30, has been extended to July 31, 2026.
The extension follows representations from industry bodies and tax professionals citing technical and procedural difficulties in filing appeals through the GSTAT portal.
