Agartala, May 30 -- The Centre has allocated Rs 75.60 crore as the initial payment of a Rs 252 crore aid package aimed at recovery and rebuilding efforts in Tripura, which suffered extensive flooding in August 2024.
Following the floods, which ravaged infrastructure and disrupted livelihoods in numerous districts, the state government conducted a Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA). From this assessment, Tripura prepared a comprehensive memorandum to the Government of India requesting financial assistance for rehabilitation and reconstruction.
